'65 f85 Deluxe 35k mile car
3 Attachment(s)
Growing up I've been surrounded by Oldsmobile's. My father has had his fair share of '65s and currently owns 6 of them including the pictured. I had a 3 year run with a '69 W31 4 Speed sport couple that i raced and the decided to take the leap into the bowtie camp and haven't looked back.
Recently my wife and i moved and throughout the summer while working on the house had seen the new (to us) neighbor move his 1961 Lancer in in out of his barn and didn't think much of it. He (the neighbor) is getting up there in age and i stopped by to talk one day to introduced myself and take a look at the lancer as he was having some issues with it. I rounded some things up to go back and help him out the next day and sitting at the end of the driveway was the '65 f85 deluxe for sale. he purchased it from a schoolteacher in West Virginia (original owner) and had only had it about two years and wanted to move it along. I was shocked to find a '65 200 feet from my house when we rarely see them anywhere other than Oldsmobile homecoming in Lansing or MCACN. Dad worked out a deal with him and its been stored in my garage ever since. I got the car going and have been driving it regularly when its nice. Admittedly it is not the most entertaining thing to wheel being a 2 speed jetway and a 330 2 Barrel but it runs great everything works. It retains 100% of its original drivetrain down to the spark plug wires....seriously. Factory black with a red interior. Although not a muscle car a neat survivor and great driver. Chad |
65 Olds...
Very cool :beers::flag:
What a sleeper that would make...big motor and maybe a th400 to make the plumbing easy. Of course a 4spd would be nice, too. I like it! -wilma |

A sturdily built TH350 is a bolt in substitution. |
