429 B-R Coil Factory Installed on 69 COPO Camaros?
Does anyone have or know of a 69 COPO Camaro, T400 or Muncie, with a factory installed 429 B-R Coil? This topic has been addressed at least a couple of times on this site without a definitive conclusion with input that either a 429, 270, or 293 is correct - threads below. Definitive info about this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The legends judging manual lists the 293 for all big blocks. Very early cars used the 293 BR, later 293 B-R.
The 270 coil is for L48 and Z/28 w/ducted hood; bracket is different. |

I put a list of Camaro coils together, backed up by factory documentation, including Chassis Broadcast Copies.

Thank you, Kurt, for the coil list-great reference
I have a discrepancy my 1969 02D L78/M40/3:55 has a 429 B-R coil I've owned the car since 1979 and know the car well since 76- I do not believe it was changed |
There was no usage of the 429 in Norwood, the part wouldn't have been in the plant. All the data clearly indicates it should be a 293.
