I think this one tops the Yenko.

ZL-1 #29 124379N610123. Raced for one season, vanished.

That is a good list but there are many great cars missing.

1970 Grumpy's Toy VII has not been found. It was a show car /street car with a ZL-1 engine used to promote the 1970 Grumpy's Toy VIII Pro Stock Camaro

I have the hood from it I bought from Bill Jenkins. It is an all steel 1970 prototype cowl induction hood. Jenkins was given 2 of these hoods after the CI option was cancelled . He put one on Toy VII and the other on Toy VIII. The one on Toy VIII got modified at the track after failing tech inspection.

The car was put back to stock SS396 after the 1970 season and given back to Ammon R. Smith Chevrolet

With that paint scheme around the cowl induction scoop, at first glance it looks like an L88 hood scoop.

Yeah Grump's '68 Camaro, lost to the mists of time. A few guys and I worked together to chase some leads but nothing panned out. The vin of the car is known to a few people so if a possible candidate surfaces I'm sure one of us will alert one of those guys.

In the pantheon of Jenkin's career, 1970 isn't what comes to mind when I think of his successes. It's hard to put any built car above a factory racecar, IMO.

However, I'd love to do a podcast on it if you'd like to chat about it!

If you did a Jenkin's podcast I'd suggest Doug Boyce or Mark Pappas, those guys know a lot about his wins and the current whereabouts of his cars. The latter owns one of his Vegas too.
