This breathtaking 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe Custom is a magnificent example of an iconic American classic sports car with European influence. It's the recipient of many prestigious awards including the Big Oak Garage Award, Chip Foose Design Award, Goodguys Builders Choice Award and 2023 Chevrolet Performance GM Iron Builder of the Year Award. It was selected as Triple Crown of Rodding Top 10, Goodguys Street Machine of the Year and Americas Most Beautiful Top 5 finalist. It was PPG paint national advertised featured car. It's also been featured in Wheelhub Magazine and on Fuel Curve. Vintage automobile artist Eric Black of E. Black Designs Co designed this masterpiece in collaboration with Jason Smith of Hot Rod Garage who brought the vison to life. For 1963, the Corvette's body was completely redesigned and for the first time a coupe body was available. A center wind split on the coupe roof divided the rear glass creating a “split-window” which is unique to this year. A total of 10,594 coupes were produced in 1963 and are highly regarded among Corvette collectors in the modern era. The 1963 Corvette Split-Window is arguably one of the most collectible classic sports cars of all time. As the original VIN Tag and Trim Tag indicate this example was built as 1963 Corvette Coupe with a Sebring Silver exterior and black interior on the 2nd week of January 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri. It was the product a no-expense spared build utilizing high quality parts and materials. Countless hours were invested in fabrication, bodywork, coachwork and mechanical engineering. This labor of love was completed in 2023 and debuted on the show circuit. It's received a ton of recognition and is truly a shining star. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car from the owner who had it built in June of 2025. MS CLASSIC CARS has completely serviced this vehicle which is documented with an invoice. Since competition it has 225 test miles. August of 2025 is the first time it's been listed for sale. A new binder with parts manuals and NOCO battery tender is included. The exterior of this '63 Corvette is absolutely exceptional with its gorgeous design and color combination. The European influence is modest but enough to make it stand apart from its siblings. During the refurbishment process the body was stripped to bare fiberglass and was customized for a unique appearance. The vision was to make the body look more refined then when it left the factory without comprising its iconic design. The cowl vents and windshield wiper posts were smoothed. The hood insert grilles were eliminated and the pockets were enlarged with added depth. The front fender pockets were also enlarged with added depth. The body lines were sharpened and the gaps were tightened. Custom stainless steel rocker panels were finished in a Satin Bronze color and were incorporated. The rear valance was modified by removing the original exhaust outlets and adding a center exhaust outlet. The emblems were also removed. The rear floor section was fabricated and a set of custom wheel tubes were added. The body was sculptured to be laser straight with precise gap lines throughout. The car was refinished in Ferrari Alloy Grizio utilizing all PPG products. This color dresses this car perfectly and highlights the exquisite bodylines. The exceptional paint work is at highest level of quality throughout. The team at MS CLASSIC CARS recently detailed the paint to a mirror like finish. Everything on the exterior was replaced including all the new factory green tinted glass, stainless trim and gas cap. Some of the custom features include a 1967 front grille with modified opening, Detroit Speed electric LED headlights, Porsche 356 mirrors, Jaguar door handles, thinned and tucked chrome bumpers. The one-of-a-kind Atomic Machine built 18” wheels were designed by Eric Black and Jason Smith. The 20-spoke wheels have a Satin Bronze center with a brushed lip and polished knock off spinners. The color of the wheels matches the stainless steel rocker panels. The wheels are mounted to Nitto NT 555 G2 tires that are 255-45-18 on the front and 315-40-18 on the rear. All of the body and paint work was completed by the team at Hot Rod Garage. All of the chrome plating was completed by Jon Wrights of Custom Chrome Plating. The interior of this '63 Corvette is truly remarkable with its unparalleled craftsmanship and luxurious appointments. The European influence from vintage Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz is more evident throughout the interior. During the refurbishment process the cabin was stripped bare and covered with installation for heat and road noise. The entire car has new wiring from American Autowire. The custom creamy white leather headliner is decorated with five LED light strips including one that is positioned in between the two rear windows. The lights immediately turn on when the doors are opened and provide phenomenal lighting. The completely restyled dash with functioning glove box was custom built by Hot Rod Garage. The original factory center waterfall was removed which created a more spacious atmosphere. The dash fascia was finished in a similar Satin Bronze color as the rocker panels and wheels. The lower section of the dash was trimmed with a custom aluminum ribbed panel with circular vents. The dash houses custom Dakota Digital black face gauges which include a speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, oil pressure, temperature and voltage. The knobs on the dash operate the headlights and hood release. The Vintage Air digital climate controls are located behind a door which is discreet. The rich interior including the bucket seats were fabricated and upholstered by Chuck Rowland Interiors. The custom dash pad, center console, kick panels, door panels and seats were covered with high end blue leather with white stitching. The tilt steering column was finished in a similar color as the dash fascia. It was outfitted an Italian Nardi Torino steering wheel and custom shift knob which is common vintage Italian sportscars. The center console, door panels and seat insert were decorated with matching wood trim. Some of the custom interior features include German Square Weave blue carpeting, seat belts, door handles, power locks, power windows, USB ports, Kenwood Bluetooth stereo, amplifier, subwoofer and multiple speakers. The rear compartment was also upholstered in matching leather and carpeting. The attention to detail is reflective of a luxury new car manufacture of today's era. The spectacular engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many custom features. The European influence and color theme of Blue and Satin Bronze continues into the engine compartment. The backside of the fiberglass hood edges were finished in Ferrari Alloy Grizio and the center was finished in Matte Blue. The hood has an aluminum latch striker and pivots on custom aluminum hood hinges. The custom fire wall, inner fenders and radiator support panel were finished in Matte Blue. The power plant of this C2 is a Don Hardy built Chevrolet Performance 416 cubic inch LS3 that's rated with 620 horsepower. The engine was completely powder coated Blue with all ARP polished 12 point fasteners. The engine was outfitted with a fully customized Edelbrock Cross Ram with dual drive by wire throttle bodies and one off air intake and filter system that was fabricated by Hot Rod Garage. The entire piece was also powder coated in matching colors. The valve covers and intake were decorated with custom emblems. This intake design adds a flare of Ferrari. The engine is dressed with a Billet Specialties front serpentine drive system. The engine management is controlled by a Holley Dominator ECU with custom harness. The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. The engine breathes through custom headers and stainless steel exhaust system with Stainless Works mufflers. The exhaust exits through a custom center outlet incorporated under the license plate area. The exhaust was fabricated by Hot Rod Garage and wrapped in titanium DEI heat wrap to keep the floors cool. The engine is coupled to a Bowler Performance T-56 Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. It's equipped with a McLeod hydraulic clutch and Lakewood Quick Time bell housing. The power is transferred Ford 9” based Fast Track IRS independent Tru-Trac rear end. A new Optima Red Top battery is concealed behind the passenger fender with charging cord. Battery posts are installed underneath and easily accessible. The glamorous undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many custom features. The floors were finished in a Satin Black color. The body sits on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis that was powder coated in Gray. The chassis was ordered with with power rack and pinion steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, RS SV Fox coil overs, Independent Rear Suspension and Baer brakes with 14” drilled rotors and 6-piston black calipers at all four corners. It's equipped with an E-STOPP electronic emergency brake. It was outfitted with a custom stainless Rick's Tanks gas tank with Walbro EFI pump. Yes, this C2 is artwork. Yes, it runs excellent.
