Thought this "BA" master cylinder would be one of the easy finds.
WRONG!!!!!

Bought a 331 1968 dated one a while back but it had a couple light pits in the bore so we did not put it on.
Really wanted a Jan 69 one so we did not sleeve it.

FINALLY found a Jan 15 dated one that also had a couple light pits in bore. Worked but wept out the back.

As much fun as these were to find I brought both in Friday afternoon to get sleeved and got them back Monday morning.
Darn nice job and did not disturb the patina as requested.

So many of these are rusted badly and really crappy inside.
Been looking for a nice one for almost 3 years.

Pics 1&2 are the 15 1969 dated "BA" one I put on the car today.
After sleeving
Pics 3-5 are the 331 1968 dated "BA" one we bought but did not use- YET.
Pic 6 is one of the rear drums. MANY Jan 69 dated parts on car.

Thanks,
Happy with end result so the headache part can fade into oblivion.

Really thought the master cylinder being replaced would not be a big deal.
I hear you on the vanishing thing and many you do find are rusted junk.

Brake and equipment in NE MPLS really did a nice job and it was FAST service.

The car is "OLE BLUE" in avatar pic.
