03 Silverado 2500HD Duramax 37k original miles. Original owner bought it after retiring from GM to pull his camper. After 5 years things in his life changed and he stored it in his barn only taking it out to run to store once in a while. He kept a Very meticulous maintenance schedule and gave me a detailed print out.

Anyway, going to make a few improvements and use it for my Home Depot runs!

Amazing find! Beautiful truck.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer but is that one of the years that the Duramax had injector issues/extended warranty TSB? Did you get the service records on it?

Appreciate the comment. Yep well aware of it. unfortunately the guy I bought it from did not have any issues with them and therefore they weren’t replaced and of course the time is expired. After reading a lot about them, there are many people who got hundreds of thousands of miles out of them with proper care. One of the things that I’m addressing is putting a lift pump in to help and obviously supplementing my diesel fuel. It will most likely get light use so I’ll drive until I see any issues.
I’m really digging it! Unlike my new one it doesn’t have all the emission junk on it and I love the smell of diesel!!

I've been using the Optilube XPD religiously for 15+ years now in our 1995 6.5 K2500 Suburban. Best-rated lubricity enhancer out there. I know the Duramax'es are a lot different than the old 6.5 but I replace my lift pump every couple years. I bought a Napa (Carter) pump years ago that had a lifetime warranty and the moment I think the pressure output is slipping, I bring that baby back into Napa and get a brand new on on the house!

I have been running hotshots secret EDT (everyday diesel treatment) in all of our farm equipment and pickups. My brother in law didnt and put $9000 in his F250 last year when it ate its pump.
Hotshots is ran in a lot of diesel prostock tractors making over 3000 hp and it is made here in Ohio. Seems to be good stuff

Appreciate the advice. I have tried others but I’ll look that up. You just follow the amounts indicated?
Updated pic. Full paint correction, new 33’s and lower valance, tints, tonneau cover. Debating on exhaust, tune, lift pump
