Battery Central Mall
 

Has anyone purchased a battery from this company (Battery Central Mall). If so, how do you like their product. If not, what companies are you buying batteries for your cars that are being judged.

I did some recent research as I am in the market for one for our 409 car. It appears Battery Central Mall (https://batterycentralmall.com/product-category/gm/) distributes for Jim's Batteries (https://www.jimsbattery-mfg.com/) as Jim's apparently is the only manufacturer for the reproduction tar top style batteries anymore. Not sure if you can buy direct from Jim's or not - doesn't appear so from their website.

I placed an order yesterday from Battery Central for a DC-12 for our car - lead time is approximately 3-4 weeks.

I will report back once I recieve mine.

I bought one from them for my 67 Camaro about 6 months ago. Delivery took about 6 weeks. The smaller battery inside is AGM. So, if you’re going to keep it on a trickle charger make sure that it has an agm setting.

I bought an AGM charger for my wife's car a few years back so I can use that.

There’s a lithium battery setting as well.

Update - the DC-12 cases are still not made yet so they are telling me end of July now.

I just bought a RS71 for my Olds, it was in stock and on its way. I also have a RS71 I bought Years ago from Antique Battery Co. It has a battery inside and I am going to replace it with an AGM.

DC-12 cases are still not in, telling me September production now........

I purchased 2 both arrived after being on backorder for some time. Pleased with battery and would buy again. As mentioned they will require correct charger to maintain. Instructions with battery require charging every 2 months at 10amps. After speaking to Battery Central Mall they asked for it to be charged monthly.
