Another 69 Z on BAT

There will be a new flood of 69 Z/28s for sale... real or not, after the hugger orange one sold for $260k.

Here is another hugger orange. You gotta love the pop rivets on the trim tag. Ouch.

And the ubiquitous "CAUTION FAN" decal

Pretty seriously thinking of putting mine on there. Mine is a different market completely, but BaT seems to be the place to get all the money out of a car with a cool story.

Yikes I'm getting a rep...

Look no further than the obviously re-stamped block pad. In 30+ years of logging data, do not have a DZ engine final-assembled Saturday, March 8, 1969. For comparison, here's March 7 and March 10th. Con VIN would have been at the oil filter, different stamp font.

I also don't believe a carb dated the second week of February 1968 could be original to a car built 500 days later.

IMHO the body tag has been altered to show a 712 interior. As noted, has been off the car and re-installed with hardware store rivets. Too bad they forgot the RH dash woodgrain included with the Z87 interior option.

Lots of other issues.

The first things I noticed 711 was changed to 712 and oops forgot woodgrain on PS lower dash. Not much to like IMHO

Don't laugh.

Lots of people out there who don't think they need help. The car on the right is a 16k mile completely original survivor.

BaT is getting tough in their reserves. A friend has a very rare ‘67 sidepipe 435 horse Corvette convertible for sale and they would only allow a $165,000 reserve. This car is easily worth $100,000 more than that number.
