Hurricane Helene

Thoughts are with all those that have been affected, and those that will be as it continues traveling north.

We lost power on Pine Island for about 4 hours yesterday. Was pretty amazing the power crews were on the island during the hurricane and working.

My friends son works for a local utility contractor and they sent 10 bucket trucks and crews to Florida Tuesday. They’ll be there and or Georgia for weeks.

It's time for overtime! I worked Hurricane Hugo many years ago. The money was good but the work was brutal...

Best of luck to everyone in it's path!

All good here in Naples; no real rain and a few decently strong gusts, but that's about it. Sure beats Ian, and prayers for those heavily affected.

Family members in St. Petersburg area all well and no damage but many were hit extremely hard due to storm surge and was the worst ever recorded in many areas including St. Pete.

Pics of minor flooding on Fort Meyers Beach again, but not too bad. Hoping the people in the direct path get thru it OK.

We had a VRBO booked on Pine Island before Ian nearly leveled it and we had to find another place on the Atlantic side.

Some significant flooding in Atlanta with over 6 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. My daughter's house had 6 feet of water in the garage and crawl space. Will be a real mess to clean up. Luckily they were able to move their cars out before the water rose too high.

And now "Milton" appears to be getting ready to absolutely hammer the Tampa area midweek. Be safe Folks

Prayers to all those in Eastern Appalachians that don't normally feel these storms nor get hit soo brutally hard
