Jamie Jarvis at Drag Week 2024
 

Jamie had a rod come apart in the big block in his '55 Chevy at the Super Car Reunion a few weeks ago. It poked a hole in the oil pan and did some damage to the crankshaft and other parts. Kevin Gass and Jamie rounded up parts and got the engine back together in time for Jamie to make it to Drag Week. After day one Jamie is in second place in B/Gas with a 9.732 at 137.85 MPH.

At the very least,he's already won the "Stick With It" award with me. :burnout:

Drag week is great event to take in... as a spectator!

I haven't been able to find any updates on official positions, but I believe Van Hurst said that Jamie is still in second place in his class. Rob Clary is riding with him.

Looks like Jamie got the front end problems fixed and it's not dragging the rear bumper off the line now. He ran a 9.63 at 138 yesterday. Don't know what position he's in.
