Original Owner 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 LT Duramax
Description- I’m the original owner of this truck, having purchased it in 2003 with 299 miles. The truck is in excellent condition, and everything works like new. DEF is not required. This vehicle has not been modified other than a fuel lift pump was added when all 8 injectors were replaced in 2015. At that time a 350 hp tune was flashed to the ECM. When this truck was manufactured the LT trim level was the top. Carfax shows an odometer discrepancy due to shop that performed an oil change on 7/16/2020 entering the wrong odometer reading. A photo of the current odometer reading is included in the ad. Equipment- Duramax Diesel 6.6 liter V8 engine Allison 5 speed automatic transmission Dual zone automatic air conditioning Inside rearview mirror with compass and tint Dual power outside rearview mirror Rear window defogger Deep tint glass Front fog lamps Pioneer double din radio with cd, Android Auto/Apple Car Play, and backup camera Steering wheel controls for radio and cruise control Bose speaker system Leather wrapped steering wheel Cruise control Intermittent wipers Power door locks and windows Dual power driver and passenger front seats with heat Locking differential rear axle with 3.73 ratio Camper/5th wheel trailer wiring Frame mounted gooseneck hitch Retracting outside rearview mirrors with turn signal and heat Heavy duty trailering equipment Service History August 2003 – Took delivery of the truck, 299 miles June 2005 – Replace passenger side rear view mirror, 7676 miles 2005 to 2008 – I’m unsure of the date or mileage as I have lost the service invoice from the dealer who did the repairs, and they are no longer under the same ownership. Somewhere in this time frame the truck developed heavy black exhaust and was taken to a Chevy dealer. Problem was diagnosed as bad injectors and 3 or 4 were replaced. Only the faulty injectors were replaced at this time. This is a well-documented problem with the Duramax LB7 engine and GM extended the engine warranty to 10 year or 100,000 miles. Whichever occurred first. April 2008 – Replaced serpentine belt and tensioner, 48000 miles approx. June 2011 – Replaced volume control switch in steering wheel, 50039 miles August 2014 – Replace fuel filter housing and both fuel lines, 52572 miles September 2015 – Replaced all 8 injectors and added Raptor fuel lift pump, EFI Live Single 350hp Tune, 55700 miles approx. October 2015 – replaced left and right-side headlight assemblies, replaced left and right-side parking/turn signal assemblies, replaced upper and lower radiator hoses September 2016 – Replaced lower A-arm bumpers, changed transmission filters, replaced a/c actuator, replaced all 4 shocks with Bilstein shocks September 2016 – Installed new double din Pioneer radio with Android Auto/Apple Car Play and backup camera June 2019 – Front end alignment, rotate and balance tires, 63321 miles March 2021 – Replaced a/c compressor clutch April 2021 – Replaced both 78 Series Batteries, 69055 miles February 2023 – Changed fuel filter and engine oil and filter, 71,895 miles Price - $35,000 obo It's better to PM me as I don't check back but every couple of days. |

Killer truck worth every penny in today's economy. What a great hauler. I have pulled heavy loads with one like this and you barely know there is anything hitched to it.
Like I said, worth every penny; but, just as an observation, who would have thought 5 years ago that a 21 year old truck would bring $32k. Good to know inflation is "under control" right? Under who's control? |
I have went back and forth between keeping this truck and selling it. It cost very little to keep. The yearly depreciation is small and operation cost are low. No DEF or regen issues to worry about. If it doesn't sell this time I'm going to keep it and sell my 2023 2500HD crew cab. I don't pull a gooseneck trailer any longer and don't have a 5th wheel camper so I really only pull bumper hitch trailers. Lynn, your correct, these trucks vs. a 1/2 ton is no comparison. Heavy Duty diesels are still in short supply with no discounts around here.
