Great engine shot! April of 1968. Drag pic is 1971.

396-375 L78 a thing of beauty. My brother inlaw ordered one right after his discharge from Vietnam. The kicker, when he was ready to sell it back in 1973 he wanted 1,800.00 dollars for it. All stock, no headers, original wheels, 4 speed, 4.10 factory gears. I can't even think about it anymore after i failed to buy that beast.

not trying to take away from the subject but i like the 69 ta in the background at the dragstrip. not something you see very often.

Looks like Byron Dragway.

I think that is Byron, and how cool is that engine shot.
Just a note, the date on photos back then is the date it was developed, meaning you could take a picture, and not have it developed right away.My Aunt used to wait till she had at least 10 rolls filled up,before she'd even consider taking them in to be developed. |

Business in East Los Angeles, The Guy would drive it every weeks and always was willing to sell it, HE was firm at $600 and said he wanted to keep his 15X10 mags and N50s on the rear and would remove the extended shackles! |
