Thinking about a new Camaro
I have been thinking about buying a 2023 or 2024 Camaro. I've been looking online to see what is available. I know I want the 6.2L engine. There are only 3 or 4 colors that I like, one of which is black. There are several different blacks available. Right now I'm thinking about the 2SS but may consider a 1SS. I thought about a ZL1 but I don't need that much power. There aren't many available near me that I like. I found a new 2023 2SS in Louisiana that I really liked. I called about it this morning but it has been sold.
I looked for a new Camaro forum and found a few but there is not much activity on them. Does anyone have a forum suggestion or any info on a good dealership to find a car? Thank you, James |
Gen 6 Camaro forum is active. I have a 2019 1SS 6sp manual. My wife and i drove the entire old RT66 from Chicago to Santa Monica, following the route as much as still exists. We had a blast. The car performs fantastic. It keeps my 1969 company.

Contact Denny Barker at Todd Wenzel. He is a Camaro guy and member here.

Thanks for the info on the Gen 6 forum. I joined a Gen 6 Facebook group that is pretty active. Driving the entire Route 66 sounds like fun.
Charlie, I looked at that dealer's site. They don't have many Camaros right now. I would like to find something a bit closer to me, hopefully within 250-300 miles away. I found a 2023 ZL1 that a really like but, as I said in my original message, I'm not sure I want something with that much horsepower. |
Denny is good at finding stuff.

I would order a 2024, assuming they are still taking orders and building them.

They stopped taking orders. I've been looking around to see what is still available. I want a 2SS. There are only 3 colors that I really like. I found a new 2023 that I really like but it is 400 plus miles away. I've been talking to the dealer and may end up buying it. I'll update the thread if I do.

The dealer that has it can work something out with the local dealer. I did that on the wifes car. It was in NorCal and we're in SoCal. They brought it down for us.

Jeeez, don't let distance prevent you from getting what you want. 400 miles is nothing. Go get it. I drive 1,000 miles for NOS PARTS !! If you really want something, distance should the last concern...:flag:
