The date is E 7 1 - May 7, 1971.

Perfect for your NOM OTC CE replacement engine that you (or the PO of your car) got in the summer of 1971 after grenading (is that a word?) the original in your Z/28 LT-1 SS350 350 or any small block really. Even a Yenko Nova Deuce! LT1 COPO

It's a core with a recent "Krylon rebuild" (that just means fresh-ish paint to be clear) - even though it spins nicely I would certainly opine that it needs a rebuild. Still has the single pattern hub.
