Scammer ? Alert
 

Received a message in response to my post looking for a 227 pitman arm. Said to email [email protected] - claimed he was parting out a car. Asked for photos and he sent pics from old threads on this site and Camaro.net. I'm new to TSR so this might be old news but I thought it was best to share.

I received and responded to a member who alerted me. I recommend that you have sellers PM you, because at least they have to register to contact you. As always be cautious of non-members contacting you via your email listed in your wanted ad.

This email seems to be linked to a spammer. I just googled the email and found ited link to spammer. I recommend not listing your email but rather they pm you. This requires they join and help verify.

Always be cautious of gmail contact addresses. Lots of scammers use gmail for their activities.

Got the same thing. Though I first received a PM from someone who told me to email the same guy mentioned above.

Hell, as a non seller, I question why there would even be a need to use e-mail off this site when buying parts from a member. That alone is a huge red flag to me.

Member gregbent31 was a member who recently joined Feb 23rd. He recommended [email protected] a couple of times.


His email is [email protected] I googled and got this alert:
