Who offers replacement of individual 1/4" Flared End Pieces......The rest of the tree is Original and Good ??????

Hmm, I used one of the factory extension tubes. I put a steel rod inside as backing and MIG welded them up. Now I read they are stainless. Mine were rusty, not sure how that happens with stainless! and they are not magnetic. But they welded up fine! Of course, just for looks anyways.

Kevin, It may be the "Extension tubes" that live in the manifold and exhaust stream are a separate part that are Stainless & not the Trees>?
My 1968 396 Trees rotted from the inside out, definitely ordinary steel, with steel tubes crimped and brazed at the joints. I just gave up attempting to repair and got replacements back in the 90's from Bill H. |
Agree, the extensions (live in the exhaust) are stainless, trees are not. But I was still able to MIG weld them together. They might not last with hot engine over time, but we will see when I install them in the future.
