Very Nice '74 Trans Am, #s 400/4-speed

Although it's been repainted once, I really love the understated color combo and lack of options. One of the nicer '74s I can remember seeing on Ebay.

Fewer than 2,000 of the 10,000+ Trans Ams built in '74 were 4-speeds.

It's wild that more Trans Ams were sold in 1974 than the previous 3 model years COMBINED.
Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

The mention of Pete Serio and Randy Combs as having done work for components of this car should give the new buyer comfort, they are the best at what they do.
The owner also chose correctly to leave the engine CID callout off the Shaker as base 400 cars did not have that in '74 only 455 cars got the decal.

Strangely, given the current owner's obvious attention to detail, the tailpipes are a complete mess. He never even attempted to duplicate the factory appearance even though 2.5" versions of the original chromed tails are available. But overall a nice cruiser.
