Washburn Chevrolet License Frames
Just got my NCRS report on my 1969 z/28 and it was sold new at Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara, CA. Looking for anything from there, but mainly a license plate frame.

Mike, my first car was a fathom green '69 Z that was sold new through Washburn Chevrolet. I got it in 1977. I do recall seeing an Azure Turquoise '69 Z in the parking lot one day at McDonalds which was my first job. I used to have a few frames but think they may be all gone now. I had a yardstick too, also gone.

My car was there locally until about 2012. Most likely it was my car as not too many Z28's in that color. Thanks for the pics. If you ever see anyhting, let me know. After reading up on Washburn, I see it was a Hi Performance dealer and the plate frames are hard to find as I think it was in operation until 1970 and switched to C&H Chevrolet, I think.
My POP is from a guy in Goleta. |
Cool, I used to live in Goleta. I might have a frame - I'll look.

I appreciate that Tony.

Jon, do you know where your Z is today??

Mike,
No I don't know where it is unfortunately. I traded the car for a '67 Z in 1980. It stayed local for three or four years and then I heard it went down to the LA area but don't recall where exactly. C&H took over from Washburn in 1971. |
