'58 Chevy Project, 348/4-speed, Black on Red
The right colors and the right drivetrain. It's a lot of rust, but interesting that it still runs and drives.
I believe the 4-speed wasn't offered until 1959, but nevertheless, it beats the ol' 3 on the tree any day. Link to 1958 Impala auction https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/egEAA...nGY/s-l500.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/8FYAA...nGa/s-l500.jpg F58S269706 |
"This particular vehicle is eligible for an extended warranty." Really? :haha:
I agree, Tony, 4 speed from the factory not available until 59. On this car, you can see the automatic trans quadrant on the dashboard, so it was not even a factory 3 speed manual trans. |

Actually, the 4-spd RPO was released for '58 and the AIM has a section for it. There were a very, very limited number of them built at assembly plants.

Only thing that trumps the look of the 58 Impala is the 58 Bonneville. There’s a lot going on there!
This one is not prejudice by any means. Every panel has rust, not just a few! Cheers Dave |
