One helluva racer.

He was a tough old bird. At 80 he fell down an elevator shaft and survived.

Saw him @ Mosport a few times over the years also spoke w/ him in the pits once early 80's, an amazing racer also very nice man.
As much as Mosport is an acronym for MotorSport, most of us who grew up around there pronounce it Mossport like Stirling's name so some folks think it had something to do w/ him but does not.
RIP Stirling.
