69 Nova Door Handles

Are 1969 Nova and Camaro exterior door handles the same/same part number?

I bought a lot of 10-12 GM door handles on eBay a long time ago. They were all similar, but varied slightly in back angle where it fits against the door, and slight difference in
cross section shape of the handle grip. I had one which came with my unrestored car, so I assume it was an original, but the handle felt uncomfortably thin to me. So I picked out two that I liked the feel of, to have rechromed. (Paul's if anyone is interested) As for the thumb button, they're stainless, and varied only in the length of the pin. Again, I picked out the best ones, and modified the pin length. (had to make it longer)

I know that doesn't answer your question about commonality between Camaro and Nova, but I thought it might help you expand your search, especially if you can see them before purchasing.

According to the '71 P & A Manual, '69 Camaro, '66-'67 Chevelle and '68-'71 Chevy [Nova] use the same outside door handles: 9706522 & 9706523.

Ed, the 69 Nova door handles are the same part number as the 69 Camaro door handles. In my parts book both show the part #3064224 for the right side and #3064225 for the left side. Hopes this helps you. Denis.
