I think I have 3 of those. I always wondered if they were production line or over the counter.

I have several myself. The vast majority that are out there after market. Chevy sold these are over the counter or aftermarket varieties. The date is how you would tell if one is a production line piece. The one for sale has 151 stamped on it, I believe. Let’s decide that. whereas the 1st 1=1971, 5=may, 1st week is the last digit (1). If I’m not mistaken, the only production car that used this number carb # is the 1965 Z16 396-375hp. The 1st 3310s were just 3310. With engineering changes a “-1”,”-2” came after the 3310, example 3310-1, and so forth. The regular 3310 and the 3310-1 had rear metering blocks. Those rear block were dropped around ‘73 when the 3310-2 was introduced. Please, there may be an erroneous statement, going by memory, but basically accurate info I give.
