They've been doing the same thing out here on Rt66 in Kingman AZ for several years. I've been a few times and it's a pretty good time. They have 8 different drag classes you can enter depending on what you have. Rules can be found in the second link.

Roadkill Nights is a must attend and participate event. We finally got race our 67 Chevelle down Woodward! One of the many highlights of the day was walking away from this green Hellcat twice!
