Reminds me of the Malibu that the kid who lived next door bought in the late 70's. It was the same color, and by then the factory paint was starting to dull out pretty badly, so he commissioned the neighbor across the street to repaint the car in his garage, using his Craftsman air compressor. When he got the car back, it had zebra stripes all over it, probably because that little compressor couldn't build enough pressure to properly disperse the metallic. Don't know if he paid him or not, but it was known as the "zebracar" from there on out!
This is a very nicely done restoration - it would draw some looks on cruise night just because it is so nice, and different. Those wheels look good on it, but they were not offered by Chevrolet until after 1970, right?
