'837 Alternator
 

Alternator for 1969 model year Hi-Perf Chevrolets. Number 1108837 dated 8L9 which is November 9, 1968.

Was on my '69 Z/28 for 25 years to move car to different locations for storage. The original Z/28 alternator had bad bearings. I just had new bearings installed, so I do not need this extra '837.

Has a Helicoil in top threaded hole. Helicoil was professionally installed and was only drilled to the midpoint of casting, that way it cannot be seen from the backside. The shinny spot on the back where bolt threads through, is where the nut spun on housing as it had a bolt and nut to hold in place before the repair.
