1979 Z28 Engine Stamp

I have been looking at two different 1979 Z28s. They both have their original engine, and are Norwood built cars with January build dates. First car is a 4 speed manual, stamp V0102DRF. Second car is a automatic trans, Build date K0111DRH. I understand that the F means 4 speed manual, and the H is automatic. My question is if anyone knows if all manual trans cars had the engines built in Flint, and all automatic trans cars had there engines built in St. Catharines, or did they use any engine that was available at the time of installation?

I would appreciate any information. Thanks John.

Have you checked or asked people on the nasty z28 forum?

Thanks for the detailed picture. That helps.
It appears that Z28s with automatic transmissions had their engines built at the St. Catharines' plant - which shows the K in the stamp.
