Yenko Cars with Hurst Dual Gates?
1 Attachment(s)
Though I'm still learning in a big way-out the Chevy side of GM, I can't recall seeing many supercars restored with a Hurst Dual Gate shifter. Most all the autos I've seen restored were horseshoe shifter or column shift - I was surprised when I came across this ad.

If you've ever seen a restored automatic Yenko Camaro, odds are good it had a dual gate. Never saw one with the column shifter retained.

Yenko automatic N616074 was built with a factory console & shifter.

…. My Hugger Orange Yenko Camaro came with the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter … https://www.yenko.net/features/2002/July2002.htm |
Very Cool:cool2:, thanks for posting that.

The Yellow, 4-speed, bench seat Chevelle on that list is pretty interesting.
|
My Hugger Orange Yenko still retains it's dual gate shifter mounted in the original plastic box and I hang a air freshener off the removed column shifter nub.

There is a gold AT Yenko Chevelle that was said to come with a console and horseshoe shifter and a few AT Yenko Chevelles said to be sold with the column shifter.
I believe all the others had the aftermarket Hurst Duel Gate floor shifter conversion. There are a few different versions of the Hurst Duel Gate shifter. Some had a curved chrome shifter stick and some have the straight stick. I believe Yenko used the curved stick shifter although I have seen some restored with a straight stick Hurst Duel Gate shifter. |
