weatherstrip reusable?

Ok maybe a really dumb question, but here goes. Can you successfully remove door weatherstrip (69 Nova) and be able to reuse it? My weatherstrip is all in great original condition, but passenger door has a major scrape outside and rust in the shell, so needs to be replaced i would like to keep original weatherstrip if at all possible, but will go Metro otherwise based on the recommendations I have seen.
Thanks folks.

Yes, use a heat gUn to soften the adhesive.

Yes and if the ends are cracked or splitting I redip the ends in black latex and then cure them out in a low temp oven, then spray with a little mold release after cured...
Attached is a photo of an Original assembly line weatherstrip end which I redipped and cured.

Firstgen what kind of latex did you use to do them door gaskets? is that latex paint or some sort of liquid latex rubber? your seals look pretty good.. I have two one year only and virtually impossible to find roof to window seal's for a 1970 Camaro that I have to refurbish and try to make look new. Thanks.

Liquid latex (available at Michaels or Hobby Lobby as a mold maker) mixed with carbon black pigment... I mixed a quart of it a few years ago and still have more than half of it after restoring 6 or 8 different weatherstrips.
The ratio of carbon black to latex was close to 15-20%.
I have been told that black latex is available premixed...

Here is a photo of the side of weatherstrip which was in much worse shape prior to dipping...
