Chevy USA-1 plate
 

original usa-1 see america's first plate. This I believe is a early plate with the cardboard backing and bent metal edges. I always thought see america's first was from 1965 and 66 but I see some people say 68 thru 1970. I don't want to mis represent this so if anyone has the correct timeline on this I would appreciate it'

I'm thinking those plates with the chrome look USA-1 and the fiber backing were from the 1965 thru 1968 era. I had one on my 57 Chevy drag car way before 1969, so I believe you have it nailed down pretty close.

That's a 1967-68 plate.
Earlier in '65/66,it had the Chevrolet font italicized,and also used this fiber backing.
In 1970,Chevrolet re-issued this plate for the 3rd time,but it was all solid metal & still had this font.
All 3 designs used this same slogan.
