Darrell just to help out a bit here that "U" code base is late 1969 to early 1970 before it changed to "U70" later in 1970.
I have that same one in my Early built 1970 Chevelle that's never been out of the trunk.
Same case for the Patent Numbered 3163925 Jack Pole.
Can't speak for the Jack assembly though as I don't recognize it being just a 70 Chevelle guy.

Thanks for the info. You very well could be correct.. I have no idea. It was all together when purchased and looked to have the same patina.
