Lakewood square tube traction bars
6 Attachment(s)
Vintage Lakewood traction bars for 67-69 Camaro 68-72 Nova
These are the early square tube asymmetrical bars like the ones found on the spectacular burnish brown COPO Camaro that was at the MCACN show. They have the early style twisted straps that fastened to the J bolts.depending on your application you may have to fabricate a tab to mount your shock as these at some point were altered. In the early 70s Lakewood transitioned to the rectangular shape bars. If you are going for that period correct day 2 look for your Camaro or Nova these are the ones you need, $500. Plus shipping to the lower 48 states. PayPal Friends and family or postal money order. |
Hello, may I ask what has been altered from factory new? Thanks Rob

Hi, if you look at the second to last picture down it shows one of the tabs cut near the spring perch and the straps at the very rear of the bars where the rear U clamp would bolt have has been trimmed. Thanks, Rob.

Is it the picture, or is one bar shorter/longer than the other?
|
Hi, it's not the picture there is a slight difference in length. I was trying to link a picture over to the burnish brown COPO Camaro that has the same bars on them. Not sure how to do that.

They came unequal length. They are in really nice shape. The modified parts are easy to repair. I restored a set and sold them instantly on here. I am surprised they are still available. I had real copo owners standing in line if the deal fell through

I'm surprised they haven't been sold. I already have a set of square bars and can say, these are not overpriced.

Are all , both sides/sets of j bolts and twist brackets included?
