Too much for the average Joe to handle...it might be good advertisement for Dodge?

---- At the rate Hellcats are getting snuffed they are becoming rarer and rarer by the day! Got to wonder weather values will travel upwards......Bill S

from the Fox webpage:
"It’s the 20th totaled Hellcat the company has gotten its hands on, but by far the one with the lowest mileage. In fact, it’s third overall behind a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was driven 12 miles before it had its date with destiny, and 2006 Pontiac GTO showing just 11."

Just shows that from every crisis comes an opportunity.

IMO - this just adds fuel to the fire that cars like this should not be sold to Joe Public without first having him/her go to some kind of performance driving school and learn how to drive the damn thing.

Sounds a little too much like the kind of world I don't want to live in. It's a cold day in hell when somebody in an office in the state house or in Washington decides they know more about what is best for me to own or use.

Easy to say. Harder to say when the person who can't control the car hits you or someone you love.......

Most people here have learned to respect horsepower by being subjected to increased levels over time. Anyone with money can buy one of these cars and it is more power than most on this board have probably ever experienced. At 707 Net HP, that is nearing double that of a COPO/Yenko coupled with the responsiveness of fuel injection, etc. It is a rocket on wheels. While simply awesome, I could see a pilot's license being required. It's not like you try to drive without a driver's license.
