Warriors in Motion..
 

The annual winter ski and snowboard event for disabled veterans and their families starts tomorrow at Windham Mountain in New York. This is the 13th year for this terrific program, and we are expecting upwards of 20 veterans [from all branches]
along with their spouses and children...over 50 participants in total. Karen and I both look forward to this every year...

Karen was up early today...media crews were on hand around 4:30am [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/drool.gif[/img]

Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul was here and spent some time skiing with the troops and spoke at the luncheon...weather is great...cold and clear. Dinner tonite at the local VFW...always a terrific gathering.

We had a great dinner last nite at the local VFW...there were two WWII era vets there, plus Korea and Vietnam vets as well. Today will provide a full day of winter fun and adventure for the troops. I'll be on the grill, flipping burgers [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif[/img]

We had another good day...a little less sun, but the weather was cold with a dusting of fresh snow. Today we had our new Congressman John Faso [19th District of NY] join us during lunch. He got a chance to meet with the soldiers, their families and some of the volunteers who make it all possible.

I have some photos to share, but my remote downloading skills are limited...complete update tomorrow nite.
