1969 chevelle tach gauge cluster restoration
Just picked up a factory tach gauge cluster that's been sitting on a shelf for over 30 years. Everything appears to move freely but I'd like to try to cosmetically restore the cluster myself. The back metal plates have some surface rust the plastic lens needs polished and the accessory gauges have a slight bit of surface rust on the face. Has anyone done this on there own or should I just send it out.

All very easy to do yourself.....don't waste your time.....on the lens, just buy a new one.

Did they make a non tach gauge cluster with actual gauges instead of the idiot lights for 69 chevelle

No,a tachometer dictated full gauges around it,and full gauges dictated a tachometer.
