couple detail questions on 396 l78 engine

1.what water pump fittings were used in the water pump, I have the slotted ones and hex fittings. Did both sides of the bypass hose(intake and pump) get the slots. Not sure which one goes where. I also have one 5/8 hex seems kind of small. I looked in the assy manual and its not really helpful

2. intake studs and vacuum advance clip, the right side corner is the alt stud then number 4 is the fuel block stud which bolt is the clip for the dist advance line?

Appreciate the help- thanks Rich

Rich
Both fitting for the by pass hose are slotted, the water pump has a 5/8 and a 3/4 hose fitting.
I think the 4th bolt back is the one for the advance clip. And the fuel block is #3 ??

FYI-early cars don't have a bracket on fuel block-if that applies? I am sure you would know by this far along what is correct for your car?
