Image verification?
 

When I try to post a reply, I now get a box requiring an "image verification", but it doesn't work. It either says I typed it wrong or then says the reply was already posted (but it wasn't).
What's up?

It's because the Members Ride section is more vulnerable to spam,more than the other topics are for some reason.

This only happens in the Members Rides forum for me-I think a setting was changed somewhere along the line? If you click the image, you can get another one to try....

I added that requirement because for some reason unregistered users were getting in and posting in that section. Once I added that the spammers disappeared. Verne I'm thinkin maybe you are one of them spammers......It only works on them. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img]

Hey Verne - the code is case specific and sometimes it is hard to figure out if the letter is upper or lowercase.

I think I understand but it still won't work for me. The info says the letters are not case specific, and I've tried to select a new code but then it says my post has already been uploaded, but it isn't. So, I do it once and it says I mis-typed the code, then I get another code and do it again and it says it's already posted. I wanted to comment on Mike's work on Grady's car. I guess I just need to keep trying????

I actually tried Spam again after 35 years, and it just as bad as I remembered. No more Spam for me. Of course, when I was a teenager and had it camping along with a lot of Southern Comfort, it was great!

I was wondering the same and have been skipping anything w/ the image verification.
Sorry to hear it's to block spammer problems but good to know it's supposed to be there.

As to Spam the mystery meat, I haven't tried it in 40 plus years and here's why.
My dad left a sandwich in the bottom of a hiking backpack and found it again two years later.
He didn't eat any but it was still &quot;good&quot; and the Spam had somehow lived also averted mold etc from the bread?
