Listing for a good customer who has decided its time to finally let a family heirloom go: 1969 Chevrolet Malibu, original 300hp-350cid / M20 4 speed / 3.73 posi 12 bolt car, Lemans Blue with Black top and Black bucket seat interior. His Dad bought it when it was a year or two old, and it has been in the family ever since. Beautiful car, nicely optioned with tilt column, console, tach/gauges, power steering, power disc brakes, Vigilite fiber optics, lighting group, 14x6 YW Rally wheels (original spare, but car now has '70 Monte 15x7 YH's on the corners with BFG TA 235/60/15's). Repainted once in the 90's by the owner (original Argent lower paint omitted), still looks GREAT. I don't think the trunk has ever had moisture in it, everything is pristine. 101K original miles, original L48 engine was replaced years ago by a RHS 350 (Comp 294, Holley 700, headers, etc). Original M20 with VIN stamping still intact, Hurst shifter replaces original Muncie unit. Owner is an engineer, and it shows in the care and condition of the car. Late production Kansas car with Body Broadcast sheet. Perfectly optioned when new as an incognito gentleman's muscle car. $25,900. Contact me via PM, email, or call Tom (me) at (too oh six)459-1563 for more information. The car is located within about 10 minutes of Seattle's main airport if you'd like to fly in and check it out.

Love the RPO-Bat1......Batman console toggle switches

This would be a Bucket List trip for me....fly out west and drive her home.
Smart engineer, I like the stronger upper GM A-arm Shafts.

Love it

GLWS

Batman switches indeed;). As a young engineer with a sense of adventure he thought switches to kill brake lights, tail lights, etc. could be useful. He just kind of shakes his head now, LOL. It's basically an F41 car now with sway bars fore and aft, boxed lower control arms and Koni shocks (2nd set installed since '79).

Tom,

Do the switches to kill brake lights, tail lights, etc. still work? I think it`s cool as heck. I would leave them just as....cars like this have had a good life and great character.....should remain just as is.

I also love that he painted the lower half all in Lemans Blue.

Tell your friend he has a beautiful Chevelle.....oh and tell him, to put those headrests back down where they belong

Under the heater box, appears there are two red wires.....going into the firewall? What are they for?

We didn't use them when I drove it, but I believe the switches still function. The red wires are most likely part of the kill switch anti-theft system. Good eye (and I'm glad you use your powers for good and not evil!)

Tom,

All good here.....absolutely NO Evil.

Let's hope this Malibu finds a great new owner. An owner that "Gets It" and will keep her as is and not clone her into an "SS". Very refreshing to see a nice Malibu.
