1986 Ford Mustang GT 5.0, Supercharged $9995

Hello all. This is mine, on consignment at a friend's dealership. Its an original no A/C, no sunroof or T top '86 GT fastback with a Kenne Bell supercharged 302, Tremec 5sp, 3.55 geared 8.8" rearend, (4 lug) 4 wheel disc brakes with 16" Enkei 98's. Somebody built this as the ultimate Day 2 5-oh back in the early 90's and didn't quite get it dialed in, so it sat. I bought it and had Brad's Custom Auto here in Seattle fix the bugs and reconfigure the fuel setup with a more current set of high-flow injectors and a custom tune (322 HP And 385 ft/lb Of Torque on their chassis dyno). I've been a 5.0 guy since high school in 1985 and I've had a number of them (one owner '85 GT convert, two '90 LX hatches, '93 Cobra, etc). This '86 is everything I hoped the ultimate 5.0 would be, but I have to make room for the new garage find '65 Galaxie 500XL 4 sp convert. Also, with two teenage boys in the house, this car is just a bit too much of a loose cannon to have around. I need to get them some seat time in a stick shift car that isn't quite this potent. I can't prove the 16k miles are original, but look at that interior and tell me how it could possibly be more. Price now $9,995 but Memory Lane and/or myself will listen to possible trades. Description of the car can be found by clicking the "back to inventory" link on the page below. Feel free to call the dealership for more information, or contact me via my profile or at (too oh six) 459-1563.

Was always a big fan of the 85-86 5.0 convertibles. Good luck with the sale.

I gotta agree had a super mint 86 red GT 5 speed put some flow masters on it with an h-pipe man did it sound good. GLWS

Ah, the good old Kenne Bell screw, back before centrifugals took over the scene. Haven't seen one of those on a pushrod car and running in 20 years or more. Neat car, hope you get all the money for it.

Kenne Bell is alive and well and I don't think he cares where the camshafts are. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...9-img_0163.jpg

Yeah, I'm plenty familiar with Kenne Bell. I mean that while the Kenne Bell screw blowers enjoyed some popularity early on with the Mustang crowd, they were largely supplanted by the Paxton and Vortech centri blowers in competition by the mid-90s. They enjoyed a resurgence on the smaller displacement OHC cars beginning in the early 2000s. Centrifugals and turbos are still the weapons of choice on pushrod cars. As far as I know, KB doesnt even make a blower for a pushrod sbf any more. The "Screw vs. Centri vs. Turbo" war was a big deal in the Mustang world 20 some years ago, and the screw blowers were largely pushed aside until the Modular engines started showing up at the tracks in large numbers.

Price drop to $9995, would like to get it off my books before 2017 and start spending money on other projects. Merry Christmas everyone😁
