FS 1969 Corvette Convert Survivor Silver/Gunmetal

For sale:

1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible finished in the original colors of Cortez silver exterior (986) and gun metal vinyl (416) interior. The interior is all original as is the black vinyl convertible top. The tags are born with original with superb shadowing of the characters. The motor, transmission and rear differential are also born with original. L46 350, M21, and 3.70 gears. Mechanical items such as the alternator, starter, bell housing, valve covers, smog system and 458da pulley are born with original. List of numbers and dates below. Exhaust system is original but the mufflers are basic replacement.

Documentation includes the tank sheet which remains untouched and on the tank, and the protect-o-plate. Same owner family since the early 1970s. Other documents include various insurance cards and registrations from throughout tenure of ownership. Comes with the original hard top. Black wall tires are new from Coker. All hoses, straps, wire ties, and vacuum lines appear to be in factory like condition and orientation. The four original Pliacell shocks are still on the car! Original Stant gas cap and original RC-15 radiator cap too.

The Corvette has been used sparingly for the last 10+ years and only needs a good home for a tune up and brake service. Starts right up and does not smoke. Tough finding an original driveline, unmolested ’69 Corvette in these rare colors with paperwork and long standing ownership tenure. No question car. $35,000 OBO

Thanks,
Dan

Very nice car. July engine and July trans. Very unusual.

Personally, I believe the 69 L46 is still a bit undervalued. ONLY differences between L46 and the next year LT-1 are the cam, intake and carb.

Best of luck with the sale.

The good looking LT-1 hood and striping was included too.

Rare car with the Gunmetal Vinyl interior I believe they only made around 600 cars total in 1969 with gun-metal vinyl. 1969 Corvettes small blocks or big blocks are great values right now and way under the money compared to other cars of the same year. That's one of the nicest original front cross-member I have ever seen. Most of time they are bend up/beat up from years of jacking the front of the car up using the cross-member. Great Car, Good luck with the sell.

I agree with you on the values for 69 Vettes.

Nice car Dan.

Not that I want you to pull a valve cover, but if you have had one off, I would really like to know if there are drippers. That car rolled out the door the same week as my 08A 69 Z.

I have an HW engine dated October or Nov. 69 that had dripper valve covers from the factory. I know there have been several "late" Z/28s and L46 Corvettes found with dripper valve covers. Seems the earliest ones are August cars, although apparently most August cars did not get the drippers.

And once again, I agree on values. They have crept up some in the last 10 years, but if that were an unmolested Z or even and SS of the same year with the same mileag and born with components, well, much more money. And frankly, this Corvette is twice as fun to drive as the Camaro.

I just keep waiting for the prices to explode on these C3 chrome bumber Corvettes.
