Re: L89 block on ebay

Seller's description includes this:
"I purchased the wreck at swap meet 30 years back I know it is a original JJ code block as I still have a piece of the car that is not for sale in this auction"
Sounds like a fishing expedition. What's the bet that the other 'piece' is the firewall cut?

Re: L89 block on ebay

Is this the same scammer from Tenn. that has sold many re-stamped blocks over the years as original? They all seem to be rusty, difficult to read, etc.

Same guy, scamming for years. I talked to a guy in Colorado who paid $6k for a supposed MN block from the guy, was a stamped CE, his usual method. He uses garden hose sections to secure his blocks to skids for shipping.

Has anyone had any luck with the authorities with this guy?

I have been burnt and learned the hard way as well.

I will post the stamps.

Chuck- I totally Agree if a seller is from Tennessee ( Buddy Hill) or Indiana ( Greg Long) I am immediately suspect.

Detective Tim Crooks from Angola Indiana- keeps a close eye on Greg, But I have no information on Buddy's police trail.
