Big Block Chevy Main Bearing Caps
 

I have a set of BB Chevy 4 bolt Main caps I'm trying to identify. They are for a 2 piece rear main seal with a 334 casting for #1 thru #4 caps and a 336 casting for #5. Can anybody help? Thank you!!

Those are the later main caps but work on all two piece rear main seal blocks. I'm not sure when they started that casting number. I'm guessing in the late 70's early 80's but that's just a guess.

964 is the more desirable caps as they are correct for the earlier blocks.

Kurt is correct. I believe that cap was made starting in the mid 70's but I'm not sure exactly which year either.
