This is one I would love to see restored, but man, it needs some metal help.

Neat car, even has the smog tubes intact. Someone will restore it IMO.

I have my doubts about it being a real Z28. Wrong grille for a '70, wrong front bumpers indicate to me that it may have been hit at some point. The lack of floor mounted gas pedal and then you see the non-LT-1 air cleaner shown in the pile of parts for the car. And why is the trim tag all shiny instead of painted like you usually see?

I am no expert and may be just too suspicious but, something doesn't look right to me.

I know this car .... It sat at a collection yard in Garden grove ca. for years. The guy was stock piling muscle cars. He had some cool stuff but he wanted an arm and a leg for them. We bought some of the more worse off cars to use as test vehicles.

I agree Dave, the only recognizable 1970 items are: the seats, 12 bolt gear box & TT. To many other things wrong, what a mix.

Carlos? Was that his name?

I bought a silver / black 70 Chevelle SS396 with the old blue/yellow CA personalized plate "NIKE" from him, supposed to be a gift to some hot shot Raiders football player

Sold to someone in TX

Also bought a 71 RS Camaro with the VF3 bumpers

He would drag a car to Phoenix to sell when he needed money

The guy who originally had was named Dave he had a scrap yard in garden grove called Daves golden west. Apparently he passed away from cancer in march from what I am hearing. His wife sold it to this guy for 2k.. Dave was stock piling muscle cars and some of them had sat for so long that the roofs were rusted clean through. We have 2 69 firebirds and a 69 Camaro that were hit in the rear so hard it would have knocked your fillings out. We bought a total of I think 9 cars from him. He was losing the land rights and had to liquefy. Shame ... he was a super cool guy
