68 Camaro value
7 Attachment(s)
I have an opportunity to purchase a 68 Camaro from a friend and need help in determining the value and give him a fair market price. The car is a 68 Camaro, 327 2 bbl, powerglide, 10 bolt, power disc brakes, A/C, trim package. It came from California from the original owner over 20 years ago and the body on this car is absolutely mint. No rust or hints of rust anywhere. Mint floor pans with factory carpet sound deadener still in place. Factory grey primer and body color overspray on the bottom is still very evident, fuel and brake lines have hardly any oxidation, clips are still color coded, all front suspension still shows inspection marks. Tape on subframe mounts still there. Subframe is excellent. Car was originally Butternut Yellow with black interior and is now black with red interior. Car is all apart on a rolling chassis with Rally wheels and was going to be restored before he lost interest. Was a running driving car just a few years ago. I just want to be fair with him on price. I'm a Chevelle guy so not up on Camaro prices. Any help is much appreciated.

Re: 68 Camaro value
I would think 10K is fair for a car that solid.

Re: 68 Camaro value
Yes on power windows. Missed listing that. Also, I said he was second owner when in fact he is the forth but family members owned it before, all in California.

Re: 68 Camaro value
Wow! that car is very nice and great colors! 15K I would say since it's disassembled.

Re: 68 Camaro value
Why was it torn down? From the pics the car looks mint! I would agree with above. $10-15k. If it were running and driving $15-18k

Re: 68 Camaro value
It was torn down as he wanted to return it to it's original Butternut yellow/black but then lost interest.

Re: 68 Camaro value
I would say 12 to 15k

Re: 68 Camaro value
A re - restore ?
the red interior is a complete reproduction as seen by the PUI style puffy door panels..... A Red int with black body, red striped is an awesome combo over Butternut Yellow & Black....although one of my favorite colors on a 67. the values above are inline for a clean western body. Good car to have especially with original sheet metal |
