70 442 post ?s
Did the 70 post 442 come standard with disc brakes or drum? Did the standard non w come with 2 fuel lines or one? Thanks, Dustin

I think all 4-4-2s came standard with drums. Bodystyle has nothing to do with anything.

W-Post cars....bing! Both my '69 and '70 442 Posts were drummer cars although as stated, body style isn't relevant. Always love seeing any Olds Post car stuff! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img] ~ Pete |

According to sales info from 70 and 71, drum brakes were standard. When power brakes were ordered you got disc on the front with the 442 model. Disc brakes were mandatory with the W30 option.
Multiple fuel lines were dictated by engine option and region, ie California. The extra line was vent or vapor return line. All the 442's I have owned had the extra vent line. Paul |
