Earl Evans

Here are some cool pictures of the Evans 427 car. These were unearthed by my friend COPO DOOUG long ago.. Miss you buddy!

These were all shot at Thompson Raceway by track photographer Charles Gilcrest. All of the pics below are on the old heavy film stock from back in the day....

Darrell, hope one is running the 427 that ended up in your Camaro.

You can see the dealer decal used on the first pic of the 69 by the marker light and again on the 67 just above the fender extension. Gotta love the name on the 67...Sweet Cream Lady...raced out of Cleveland Ohio! I'd say those American D spokes fit the front of that 67 pretty dang well...... Yep thats the 69 that my father bought the engine out of back in 69-70 timeframe. He put it in the green 68 and later pulled it out and sold it complaining that it didnt run as strong as the original L78 so back in it went.. Amazing how small the world we live in really is..

Re: Earl Evans

Right, I meant Chevyland, not Chevytown...my decal is slightly different than the one on the 66 above.
