Oil Pressure Warning Light Switch/sender ORIGINAL
6 Attachment(s)
GM Assembly line installed oil pressure warning light switch-sender for Camaros, Chevelles, Novas GTO,s and other GM cars with dash warning lights.
Originals are different than the repros or old NOS units. The metal body is crimped over the black body and has 3 crimping marks. Also the underside has 2 #'s stamped in, this one is 4 and 0. Also un the flange where the #'s are stamped there is a distinct flat with a ring before transitioning to the side. By the terminal there also are 2 prominent release marks and writing. 100.00 |

Rich,
Do you know what application and year the Oil Sending Unit was removed from. Do you think that the 4 and O is a date code (April 1970?) |
Re: Oil Pressure Warning Light Switch/sender ORIGINAL
Dave, Got this one with a huge lot of hardware from a guy that parted over 1500 motors, mostly late 50's to early 70's. Upon closer inspection the sender has a series of 4 numbers. Not sure what they are yet. Could be a Julian calendar or just a internal plant code??? I have a 1/2 dozen more so far all with the same 4 number code.
So far I have senders with: 025 4 130 5 036 4 013 4 Trying to see If I have any from specific cars to see if there is a correlation to date or not. |
