----Anthony,,,Im not sure I can envision any scenario in which you could raise the front of a 64-67 Chevelle 4 to 5 inches with stock A-frames and have a totally safe vehicle to drive. The geometry would be way out of whack.....Bill S

Re: chevelle lift kit front

Didn't they make those crazy ball joint spacers that would mount on the uppers and give some lift??? Not that they were safe....

Re: chevelle lift kit front

Ball joint spacers
Mount in between arm and ball joint
All they do is allow the front end to
Rise higher when the car launches
Off of the line
The spacers I have would raise the
Car about an inch or so

Re: chevelle lift kit front

I had "Ball Joint Spacers" mounted between the upper arm and the ball joint,it did raise the car the thickness of the spacers{my spacers were 2 1/2"}. The spacers would let you put bigger springs in and still give a stock smooth ride not a hard ride.

Re: chevelle lift kit front

I did a look up or search on the net "upper ball joint spacers" and found info and a kit for them. Hope this helps you.

I think the biggest advantage of the ball joint spacers is it allows the upper A-frame to swing up and 'out' It allows you to be able to set the camber and caster which is impossible when you raise an a-frame car more than 3-4 inches. I happen to have a virtually new pair , machined aluminum, I no longer need if someone is interested.
