1969 IMPALA CUSTOM

Reluctantly selling my 1969 Impala due to a physical ailment, this is a 38,000 mile car. Started life as a 2 speed power glide and converted to a M21 4 speed. I started the restoration in 1996 and C & C Customs from Norfolk Virginia completed the frame-off restoration in 2009. The car was in the December 2011 edition of Hemmings Classic Car Magazine regarding GM's Centennial Celebration. The signature on the glove box door in one of the pictures is from Chip Foose. I have all the photos of the restoration from start to finish. The following is a list of items that was completed on the Impala:

- Frame was removed, sandblasted & powder coated.
- 10 bolt rear was replaced with 12 bolt rear, sandblasted & powder coated.
- Eaton posi with 3.55 gears installed.
- PST Performance Front-End Kit / Coil Springs front & rear, KYB Shocks.
- Master Power Brake: Disk brake conversion.
- New rear drum brakes.
- New stainless brake & fuel lines.
- New gas tank with sending unit & neck.
- 15x7 steel rims sandblasted & powder coated.
- Coker Red Line Radials.
- Engine: 327 stroke to a 331, Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake, carb. COMP Cam/ lifters.
- Hooker Super Comp Headers / 2.5" exhaust system powder coated with Flow Master mufflers.
- Be Cool Aluminum radiator.
- Centerforce Hydraulic clutch.
- Rebuilt M21 4-speed transmission.
- Body was chemically stripped to bare metal, after market rear quarters were installed due to rust in both rear wheel arches, both front fenders had rust in lower heel, instead of patching, we found rust free original fenders, new rear trunk floor installed, new body mounts.
- Front & rear bumpers were re-chrome
- New tinted windshield.
- Rocker and wheel molding replaced with NOS.
- Body side molding replaced with NOS.
- New Headliner installed.
- Front & Rear seats were reupholstered.
- New carpet.
- New stereo system with 10 disk CD changer in trunk.
** Items needed: the interior light switch in the door was not installed and one of the horn / bracket was not installed also.

The car has been driven maybe 200 miles to work the bugs out of it... she drives great.

Car looks great!

Hey, someone was asking about a small tachometer. Got a close-up of that one?
