1969 H/O Z28 survivor
 

Not mine, but I stumbled across this on Craigslist. Looks like a great car for $35,000. I hope someone pursues this...

The Ad reads:
1969 Z28 real survivor. Original Hugger Orange paint, black vinyl top, interior and the list goes on. It has been short blocked and is now powered by a 350 with original Z28 double hump heads, Winters intake, factory headers and Muncie 4 speed transmission. The original 4:56 gear is included as well as the 302 crankshaft. It is a blast to drive with the current 3:73 gear. It is an early March car with the rare short spoiler and original and very rare flat hood. Before I became the owner it had been stored for more than 17 years. The car is clean and bright. With all that power and Z28s fast ratio steering it handles like the true sports car that it was built to be. The interior is perfect except for a small split in the seam of the driver's seat. The only rust is some slight surface rust just starting on some frame members. The car does have some paint blemishes and minor damage to the front of right fender. The dent doctor and a paint touch up would it make new again. This car is an excellent weekend driver and head turner. Health problems necessitate the need for me to sell this, my dream car to someone that will love and appreciate it. Please, only serious inquiries.

Looks like a nice orig paint car. March car wouldn't have the short spoiler, and it looks like someone swapped the headrests for 70's. Can't beat hugger orange with blk vinyl roof and stripes!

Yeah, I noticed the headrests but not the spoiler. How long was the short spoiler used for 69 models?

Yes the short spoiler was still used sporadically into mid March of 69.

if it is an original 4:56 gear car, it would have COPO 9511

If factory shipped and not dealer installed, check tube stamping.
Again 9511 was necessary for '69 cars only, not other years.

All that and HO, looks like a nice deal for someone to get their eyeballs on.

I just noticed that it doesn't appear to have a posi sticker under the deck lid... could have peeled off in the last 35 years, but I thought I'd point it out given the discussion about the rear.

I realize that. I just meant that nobody would order a 4.56 non-posi, so I doubt it was ordered with a 4.56 rear.

It looks pretty good, but you can see that there has been some spray can action done on the underside and rear end. I would rather see it in the raw, with lite surface rust than a rattle can cover up over the rust. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but an in person inspection.
