Water Pump Re-builders here at SYC?

I am rebuilding the HB 350 out of my 69 Z-11 and I am doing some mild performance mods to the engine while maintaining a stock exterior appearance. Here is the question...is there anyone here who rebuilds water pumps?

I would like the rebuild to incorporate a hi flow impeller. Thanks!

I don't know of anyone here. I and others have good luck with Arthur Gould, fast turn time.

X2 on Arthur Gould. Good bunch of guys work there. They did a nice job on my small block pump.

The original 300 HP engine in its stock configuration was pretty tired so I decided 45 years was enough and tore it down. Tired was an understatement. Original cast Nodular Iron crank was pretty much shot and not worth the machine work to repair. The stock pistons and rods were OK but the block needed to be bored .030. Valves/guides in the original heads were shot and to top it off the intake had a chunk of carbon in the underside tray the size of your fist that was cooking the Q-Jet. In other words the typical SB that has been cruised to death for better than 4 decades.

The question was to do a stock rebuild or a performance rebuild. Since I drive the car the answer was obvious. The engine will look 100% stock from all external appearances,- except at idle I think.

and now the 692 water pump - with a Hi flow impeller.

Thanks gents... Mr.Gould it is.
